Under the care of the Discalced Carmelite Friars
Opposition to WA Euthanasia Bill
Letter Writing Workshop
Tuesday 28th May at 7.30pm at Embleton Parish Hall
In a matter months the Voluntary Assistance Dying Bill will be introduced into the WA Parliament. If passed by the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council, doctor assisted dying will be legally available for the imminently dying.
We have arranged for a project officer from the Goody Bioethics Centre to attend a letter writing workshop at the Embleton Parish Hall, beginning at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 28 May. At this workshop you will have the opportunity to handwrite letters to the local member, and to the six members of the Legislative Council – East Metropolitan Region. Resources to assist you in the wording of letters, and addresses to parliamentarians will be available. Pens, papers, envelopes and stamps will be provided. Supper will also be available during the letter writing.
If you would like to attend this workshop, please write your name down on the sheet in the church foyer. For more info, please contact Chris Harkness, chrisrharkness@bigppond.com or Billie at the parish office, secretary@infantjesusparish.org.au
