This Sunday it is forty days since Christmas. Today we celebrate the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple, also known as Candelmas. We hear how Jesus’ salvific mission and identity is recognised by two elderly people. His light shines forth to the eyes of faith (the old couple experience an epiphany).
