Dear Parishioners,

In the Gospel today, we see Jesus scorned and attacked by his own people for speaking the truth about the Kingdom of God. In his call for “a New Evangelization”, we too have been challenged by Pope Benedict XVI, to stand up and boldly proclaim the truth about the Kingdom. To be able to do this, we need two things; a deep faith in the truth we proclaim and absolute trust in the Holy Spirit to help us in this mission.  When Jesus was attacked, even to the point of being thrown of a cliff, he was not afraid—and his trust was rewarded, as he was able to “slip away through the crowd and walk away”. Read more…
