Parish Bulletin – 1st Sunday of Advent 2 December 2012

Dear Parishioners,

Today is the first day of Advent, the four week period of preparation for Christmas. Advent is sometimes called “the little Lent”, because like the Lenten period, we take steps to prepare our hearts through extra prayer and sacrifice. Perhaps you could pick up an Advent reflection booklet at the piety stall today, it is a good way to introduce a little prayer time to your days. You might also try to come to Mass during the week, if that is possible for you, because the Eucharist is the centre of our spiritual life.  Read More ….
