Dear Parishioners,
Next Friday I leave for India and I will be away for three weeks. While I am away Fr. Tadgh will be watching over you, with the help of Fr. Antony, who has kindly agreed to come and assist Fr. Tadgh. I am most grateful to them both for allowing me this opportunity to visit my family and catch up with my brother Carmelites and my friends. While I am away I will be praying for you and I hope you will do the same for me.
Last Saturday we bid a fond farewell to our brother and priest, Fr. Joseph Kelly. It was a beautiful liturgy and I feel sure Fr. Joseph would have been most pleased to see three bishops celebrating his requiem. He was a humble man, but he loved his priestly vocation and had great respect for the authority of the bishops.
