Dear Parishioners,
On the weekend of 25th & 26th of June we will celebrate the First Communion Masses in the parish. In the past, these celebrations have been held on a Sunday afternoon. This year, this important Sacrament will be celebrated during the weekend Masses. This decision has been under consideration for several years and in consultation with the Sacramental team and the school staff. This decision will bring the Sacrament back into the heart of the community, where it belongs. It will allow our whole parish family to witness to these young children the importance of the Eucharist in our Christian lives.

To ensure that there is room for everyone at each of the Masses, numbers of First Communicants have been limited for each Mass. There will not be any children making their first Communion at the Italian Mass. At the end of each Mass, a professional photographer will take a group photo of the children on the Sanctuary steps. There will be no photography allowed during the Mass. The Masses should not run much longer than a normal weekend Mass.

I encourage you to come and share this wonderful day with the children and their families and to pray for them in the last couple of weeks of preparation. -Fr. Sunny.
